Organizations: Seattle
Poker Open, of playing big stakes with little stakes. This
is a learning league for those who think they've got the chops to
get into the big money, but want to test the waters first before
risking the bucks. Play poker with others just as serious about
the game as you are.
Six-pack
Abs Forget
the crunches and gimmicks. For guys who want a flat stomach,
the best lessons come from the girls:
Belly
Dancing. What's
not to like about this? You get great stomach muscles,
better posture, and a more limber back. Women's hips
are built better for side-to-side movement, while men's hips
are better for forward and back movements. As a bonus,
belly dancers have this cool sword dance, where you getta swing
a big sword around. Now, go undulate your way to a flatter
stomach.
Hula
Hooping. This
is a low cost, low impact activity, and it also increases coordination. Using
a hula hoop really builds up the core, so you have great balance
and better flexibility. Most newbies can get a rhythm
going with 20 minutes of practice. Also, the Chat
With Women ladies just did a radio
segment (Jan 28th) on losing weight by hula hooping.
Pole
Dancing. The
pool has migrated from strippers, to bedroom thrills, to girl
exercise, and now, it's moved on to the guys. Pole dancing
increases upper body strength by using the body as resistance,
while toning the entire body. Of course, you'll spice
up your love life, and you'll be a hit at the next party.
